The Wirdi water fall in Dodamarg Taluka is so far an untouched site, at the distance of 20km from Dodamarg Taluka place. Wirdi is a village situated at the southern most end of Sindhudurg District on common borders of Goa and Karnataka. Actually the Wirdi fall is a part of rivulet which flows through Karnataka territory just at the distance of 5km from the village proper. As the forceful stream reaches the border of Maharashtra it turns into a fall there.
The side of the fall is too hilly and hazardous to reach there, It's a challenge for adventurous visitors to approach rocky spot. One has also to cross many brooklets and rushing streams in the way. During rainy season it is almost impossible to make approach there. It is therefore advisable to try to visit it when the monsoon is over. (I.e. from October-November onward).
